The Balvenie Distillery, which has been producing high-quality whisky since 1892, still preserves many traditional methods in its production process. For example, the barley is still grown on site and the distillery uses a traditional malting floor - a rarity in the modern whisky industry. In addition, Balvenie employs its own team of coopers who are responsible for maintaining and repairing the casks to ensure optimum quality throughout the maturation process.

The Balvenie 14 Years Caribbean Cask undergoes a carefully orchestrated maturation process, where the whisky is first aged for 14 years in traditional oak casks to develop its base. It is then transferred to ex-Caribbean rum casks where it completes its maturation, taking on the exotic aromas and flavours of the rum casks without losing its characteristic Balvenie flavour.

This process creates an exceptional whisky that brings together a unique combination of traditional and Caribbean influences, making it a fascinating pleasure for connoisseurs and enthusiasts in particular.
