Akori Gin is a Spanish London Dry Gin, produced by Destilerías Campeny, whose characteristic flavour profile is largely characterised by Japanese-inspired botanicals. Although the name sounds Far Eastern, this gin is produced in Spain and combines high-quality European distilling skills with unusual exotic ingredients. It is based on high-quality grain alcohol, which is first macerated with selected herbs, spices and fruits. This is followed by a second distillation, in which the flavours released from the botanicals are firmly anchored in the distillate. The distillery based the development of the flavour spectrum on the Japanese flavour profile, so that Ingwerer, kumquats and dragon fruit are among the defining components of the gin.


This combination gives Akori Gin an exotic, fruity and spicy style that clearly distinguishes it from classic London Dry Gins. The juniper remains noticeable, but is accompanied by fresh citrus nuances, fruity accents and a subtle spiciness from the Ingwerer. At 42 per cent by volume, the gin is clear, modern and aromatically complex. Due to its special structure, it is suitable for creative cocktail interpretations as well as for classic drinks, to which it adds a distinctive, exotic twist.
