For the Sherry Cask Reserve, high-quality malt whisky has been specially matured in selected Oloroso sherry butts. The intensive cask maturation gives the whisky its unmistakable character, with pronounced fruity and spicy notes and exceptional smoothness. Maturation in Oloroso sherry casks creates a complex interplay of aromas, including ripe dried fruit, spicy honey and dark chocolate. Bushmills’ signature triple distillation process lends the whisky its elegant smoothness, whilst the selected sherry casks add further depth and complexity.
