The 'HMS Princessa', originally a Spanish ship, was captured by the British in the naval battle of Cape St Vincent in 1780. As a 70-gun ship, she was one of the first to be recruited for the historic Battle of Les Saintes. Inspired by her eventful history, this exclusive rum from St Lucia is blended from distillates aged for between five and nine years in American white oak bourbon barrels. This careful ageing in the cellars of St. Lucia Distillers allows the master blender to blend the individual characters into a harmonious and multi-layered rum that reflects the depth and complexity of its historic roots.
