In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine brandies in 1979, followed by the founding of his high-quality vinegar factory in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which are regularly recognised.

Gölles Alte Herzkirsche is matured for eight years in oak barrels. This ageing period enables the development of a diverse range of flavours, including vanilla, wood and pronounced roasted aromas. In addition, the flavour is complemented by the fresh and intense fruit notes of the fully ripe cherries harvested in July, which give the brandy a smoky profile.

This combination of wood and fruit creates a perfect harmony that makes the "Alte Herzkirsche" cherry brandy an exceptional treat for connoisseurs.
