Only pure sugar cane juice is used in the production of Barceló Imperial Onyx - unlike many other rums, which are made from molasses. This gives it its particularly pure, fruity base and its unmistakable structure. After distillation, the rum matures in carefully selected, double-flamed ex-bourbon barrels, which gives it its distinctive depth and variety of flavours. This special barrel treatment intensifies notes of coffee, dark chocolate and tobacco, which harmonise perfectly with its natural sweetness.
