The Hampden Estate Rum 8 Years Old Pure Single Jamaican Rum 46% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an authentic Pure Single Jamaican Rum that impressively reflects the distinctive character of one of the Caribbean’s oldest distilleries. The Hampden Estate Distillery was founded as early as 1753 in Trelawny, Jamaica, and is one of the world’s most traditional rum producers. The sugar cane used comes from the distillery’s own Everglades Farms, enabling it to maintain complete control over the quality of its raw materials. The molasses is fermented for an exceptionally long time using natural, local yeasts, resulting in the intense high-ester aromas typical of Hampden. The high-quality 0.7 l bottle, presented in an elegant gift box, is an excellent choice for lovers of authentic premium Jamaican rums.


Distillation takes place exclusively in copper pot stills, including stills from the Scottish manufacturer Forsyths, which shape the distinctive character of this rum. The Hampden Estate Rum 8 Years Old is then matured for at least eight years under tropical conditions in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak. Jamaica’s warm and humid climate accelerates the cask maturation process and ensures an exceptional variety of flavours. Water from the estate’s own mountain spring is used exclusively to adjust the alcohol content to 46% vol. The rum is bottled without added sugar, colouring or glycerine, and is not sweetened, thereby fully preserving its original and unadulterated character. This uncompromising production process makes it a prime example of the traditional Jamaican rum style.
