The Hampden Estate Rum company was founded in 1753 and has been distilling rum for around three centuries in the parish of Trelawny, which is considered the Grander of Jamaican rum. In 2009, a new era in the world of spirits was inaugurated: The company began ageing its Pure Single Rum. Hampden Estate, the only brand for high-proof rums, is recognised worldwide for the diversity of its distillates.

The unique and exceptional Hampden Estate Classic is made exclusively from the HLCF brand and wins the hearts of rum lovers with its intense and uncompromising flavours. HLCF stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured and is one of several brands that stand for rums with a high ester concentration of between 400 and 600 gr/HLPA. The distillation of the truly refined Hampden is carried out in copper pot stills, using only local sugar cane from the area surrounding the distillery. Maturation takes place for seven years in oak barrels. Bottling takes place without the addition of colourings or sugar.
