The Rhum Karukera BLACK EDITION Alligator Rhum Vieux Agricole is a high-quality Rhum Agricole from Guadeloupe, which develops its exceptional depth and complexity through careful seven-year ageing in French bourbon and cognac barrels. Bottled at 45% vol. in a generous 1-litre bottle, this fine drop combines powerful woody notes with the typical elegance of a mature Agricole rum.

The Black Edition Alligator owes its name to the special barrel roasting process: The inner surfaces of the oak barrels are heavily burnt out - this process, known as "alligator charring", creates a deeply textured charcoal layer reminiscent of alligator skin. This gives the rum an intense roasted flavour, distinctive spiciness and a pronounced depth, while its fruity and sweet notes remain harmoniously integrated.
