The Hatozaki PURE MALT Small Batch Japanese Whisky 46% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exquisite bottling from Japan, which is produced in the traditional Kaikyō Distillery. Named after the Hatozaki lighthouse - the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan - this bottling stands for orientation, consistency and quality. As a pure malt or blended malt, it combines exclusively different single malt whiskies, with no grain content, which gives it a special depth and elegance.


Only selected malts are used for the Hatozaki Pure Malt Small Batch, which are matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks, sherry casks and rare Mizunara oak casks. This variety of casks gives it a complex spectrum of flavours: bourbon casks provide vanilla and sweetness, sherry casks provide fruit and spice, while the Japanese Mizunara oak adds depth and individuality with exotic wood notes and subtle spice. The whisky is bottled at a strong 46% vol. which allows its flavours to develop particularly intensively. Each bottling is produced in small batches, usually comprising fewer than 20 casks, which emphasises its exclusivity.
