Roner Malecon owes its name to the famous "Malecon" waterfront promenade in Havana, the capital of Cuba, which is known for its lively atmosphere and historical significance. The brand was founded by Marco Savio, an Italian rum specialist who laid the foundations for Ron Malecon with his passion for high-quality rum. Ron Malecon is distilled using the traditional Cuban method from molasses in Panama, using copper column stills.

The Rum Malecon Selección Espléndida 1987 is an exclusive vintage rum from the renowned Rum Malecon range, in which only rums from 1987 are used. This special bottling is characterised by its purity, as it is bottled without the addition of colouring agents, which preserves the authentic character and natural quality of the rum.
