Mauritius is known for its extensive sugar cane plantations, which cover around 90% of the island and form the basis for the traditional rum production.

The Turquoise Bay Amber Rum is carefully matured in American oak barrels and consists of a harmonious blend of 8-, 5- and 3-year-old rums, all from Mauritius. The use of molasses and sugar cane juice, which are characteristic of this region, gives the rum its special depth and complexity.
