SeRum Ancon 10 Años is an elegant rum from Panama, bottled at 40 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle, which combines traditional Panama Rum-making with a fascinating historical tribute. It is made from sugarcane molasses grown in the fertile Pesé Valley in the province of Herrera. The rum is then aged for at least ten years in ex-bourbon casks, giving it its well-rounded balance of fruitiness, spice and subtle woody notes. The rum is named in honour of the SS Ancon, the first steamship to traverse the Panama Canal in its entirety – a milestone in the history of shipping. SeRum rums are produced in Panama for the Czech manufacturer and distributor Kratochvilovci, which specialises in high-quality rum bottlings.
