The Speyburn distillery, which was founded in 1897 by brothers John and Edward Hopkins in the Speyside region of Scotland, takes its name from the nearby River Spey. After the distillery became the property of Scottish Malt Distillers in 1962 and was taken over by Pacific Spirits in 1991, it has belonged to International Beverage Holdings since 2006. The water required, which comes from the Broad Burn and the Granty Burn, is used for production, while the whisky is matured in sherry and ex-bourbon casks.

This travel-exclusive bottling, which is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks made from American oak over a period of 16 years, develops a dram that impresses with its complex flavours. The notes of savoury fruit stand out in particular, which combine with a hint of creamy vanilla and give the whisky a special depth and balance.
