Description
The Graham's port house was founded in 1820 and is one of the most traditional port houses in the world.
This Port from 2003, represents an excellent harvest in the Douro Valley and the year of the centenary of aviation (1903-2003).
Peter and Charles Symington, Graham's father and son, selected the best wines of the vintage, some of which were to be bottled as Vintage Port. While another selection of the best batches was earmarked for long-term ageing in seasoned oak barrels to be released later as Colheita Port, wines from a single harvest ("colheita" means "harvest" in Portuguese).
When Peter retired in 2009, Charles succeeded him as head winemaker and taster. After closely following the development of the wines, he decided to continue ageing the 2003 wines in wooden barrels.
