Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

The dark chocolate liqueur Nero Bottega is made from pure cocoa with no added milk and is therefore lactose-free. Cocoa forms the basis of this liqueur, which develops an intense chocolate flavour in combination with triple-distilled grappa and other selected ingredients. The liqueur is presented in an elegant, satin-finished bottle with a thick base and golden cap.

The Sandro Bottega distillery only uses its own high-quality distilled grappa for its Cioccolato Nero e Grappa, unlike other producers who often use cheap industrial alcohol.
