Bacoo Rum is produced in the Dominican Republic.

Distilled from molasses, the rum is named after the Caribbean legend of the bacoo.

A bacoo is a spirit that feels at home mainly in rum bottles and is therefore often called a genie.

If you keep the little goblin happy and feed it with milk and bananas, it will fulfil one or two wishes for its "owner".

Legend has it that if you lock a bacoo in a rum bottle, you should throw the bottle into the ocean.

This is the only way to keep it at bay. Whoever finds the sealed bottle with the genie and frees it will be granted a wish by the defiant goblin.
