The story of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum begins over 270 years ago in a unique, mystical place known as Nassau Valley. This place is characterised by a rare karstic landscape with cone-shaped limestone formations, caves and underground water springs. The unique terrain acts as a natural filter for the rain, producing crystal clear water and giving the sugar cane plants in this valley region a unique flavour profile.

This rum is also known as Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Years Old and was renamed Appleton Estate Rare Casks 12 Years Old in 2021. This premium rum with a strong amber colour is produced in old copper stills and is a "hand-blended blend" of different rum varieties that are aged in oak casks for up to 18 years.
