The Glenkinchie The Distillers Edition Double Matured 2021 43% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exclusive bottling from the Scottish Lowlands, which are famous for their light, floral single malts. This vintage was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021, which means it has a long maturation period behind it. What makes it special: It was double matured in amontillado cask wood, which gives the whisky additional depth, spice and fine sherry notes. It thus combines the elegant basic character of Glenkinchie with an expressive complexity.


After initial maturation in classic oak casks, it was then matured in amontillado sherry casks, which gave it nutty, fruity and dry accents. At 43% vol., it is soft, round and yet complex. As with all Distillers Edition bottlings, colouring (caramel) was also used here to highlight the deep golden colour. The 0.7 litre bottle in an elegant gift box makes it a special choice for collectors and connoisseurs of exceptional Lowland whiskies.
