In the middle of the 17th century, a representative of the French crown acquired all the land on the Antillean island and brought three huge sugar cane plantations to life. At the beginning of the 20th century, the move was made from sugar production to the production of rhum agricole, a rum made directly from sugar cane juice rather than molasses.

The Trois Rivières rums are based on this pure sugar cane juice, which gives them their characteristic flavour. This special bottling is a blend of rums that have been matured for over three years. This ageing process allows the cuvée to develop unique notes of wood that distinguish the rum from others.
