The distillery, which has been recognised as a single estate since the late 1990s, produces this high-quality cognac from the exclusive eaux-de-vie of the Fins Bois region, which is known for its fresh and fruity aromas. Domaines Francis Abécassis owns a vineyard of 280 hectares spanning the prestigious Cognac regions of Grander Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois.
The Leyrat VS Fine Single Estate Cognac matures for 2 years in Limousin oak barrels, which give the Cognac delicate wood notes and wonderfully support the flavours. As a VS Cognac, it is characterised by its youthful freshness and lively fruitiness, which are typical of a Cognac with a shorter maturation period.
