The Kuro Kirishima Shochu is a high-quality Japanese sweet potato shochu (Imo Shochu) with an alcohol content of 25% by volume, bottled in a traditional 0.72-litre bottle. Produced by Kirishima Shuzo, one of Japan's best-known shochu distilleries, this shochu stands for authentic craftsmanship and decades of experience in the production of regional specialities. The word "kuro" means "black" and refers to the use of black koji (kuro koji) in the fermentation process, which gives the shochu a special depth and umami flavour.
