Description
Leo Hillinger is a visionary entrepreneur and winemaker whose passion for viticulture has brought him international recognition. His winery, which today covers an impressive 100 hectares of vineyards, is known for its excellent wines not only in Austria, but worldwide. These wines find their way to over 20 countries around the world, which emphasises the global presence and popularity of the Hillinger brand. Hillinger's focus on sustainable cultivation practices and organic production contributes significantly to the exceptional quality and purity of its wines.
After years of training in Europe and California, Hillinger bought 12 hectares of vineyards, laying the foundations for his successful winery in Jois, which opened in 2004. The company expanded to include several wine shops and bars throughout Austria and a long-standing business relationship with the Constantia Glen winery in South Africa. In 2012, Hillinger was honoured by Ernst & Young as "Entrepreneur of The Year", underlining his outstanding role in the wine industry.
Secco - a synonym for exuberant joie de vivre. Whether at the A1 Beach Volley Grander in Velden or the elegant Fête Blanche at Maria Loretto Castle, the gently sparkling rosé sparkling wine, made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, delights with its elegant freshness. Maturation in steel tanks ensures that the lively flavours are preserved, followed by careful bottling and sealing with a natural cork. In addition, as a proud partner of Pinkster Ribbon, this Secco supports Austrian Cancer Aid, meaning that every drink also supports a good cause.
