Characterised by Nicaragua's unique climatic conditions, this rum is produced in the traditional Compania Licorera de Nicaragua, which has been based in Managua since 1890. However, the production itself does not take place directly in Managua, but in Chichigalpa, in the immediate vicinity of the local sugar factory, around 120 kilometres away.

Named after the picturesque island of Zapatera in Lake Cocibolca, Zapatera Rum reflects the rich nature and culture of Nicaragua. Maturation in 200-litre American white oak barrels not only gives it a profound variety of aromas, but also a balanced flavour structure that connoisseurs particularly appreciate.

Thanks to its careful ageing in American white oak and its origin in the heart of Nicaragua, Zapatera Rum embodies a unique taste experience that rum lovers around the world will appreciate.
