The well-known champagne brand Dom Pérignon takes its name from a 17th century Benedictine monk, Dom Pierre Pérignon. The monk spent 47 years trying to make the best wine in the world.

The year 2008 brought with it a grey and overcast spring and summer. This led to a lack of warmth and light. In September, the sun fully returned and nothing stood in the way of the grapes ripening.

Lady Gaga, as well as the makers of the Dom Pérignon brand, firmly believe in the power of absolute creative freedom. The fascinating sculpture of the bottle was created by Lady Gaga with the help of Japanese-born fashion editor Nicola Formichetti.
