Capucana Cachaça 42% vol. 0.7 litre is an unusual and modern interpretation of Brazilian premium cachaça that combines traditional sugar cane distillation with innovative barrel ageing. The brand is backed by the company Vantguard, which wanted to create a particularly high-quality and international version of the Brazilian national spirit with Capucana. Inspired by the cultural diversity, joie de vivre and energy of Brazil, this characterful cachaça combines authentic Brazilian craftsmanship with a modern and cosmopolitan style.


The distillery's roots go back to 1886, when the Danish-born engineer Christiano Matthiessen founded a fazenda in Brazil and later began producing sugar cane distillates. Today, his descendants continue this tradition and produce high-quality cachaça from selected sugar cane varieties. Capucana cachaça is produced as a unique blend of different sugar cane distillates and then matured in former American bourbon barrels. In addition, a special refinement is carried out in barrels from the Scottish region of Islay, which previously contained peaty malt whisky. This creates a complex and unusual interplay of flavours with Brazilian fruitiness and subtle smoky nuances.
