The Balvenie The Creation of a Classic is a special bottling from the renowned Balvenie Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, and celebrates the birth of a now widely used maturation process: maturation in sherry casks. This whisky edition honours the pioneering work of Balvenie's long-time Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, who developed the "Double Cask Maturation" process in the 1980s - first maturation in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a finish in Oloroso sherry casks.

The whisky is bottled at 43% vol., is not chill-filtered and impresses with its harmonious balance of sweet oak spice, fruity notes and creamy texture.
