The Balvenie Distillery, which has been producing high-quality whisky since 1892, still preserves many traditional methods in its production process. For example, the barley is still grown on site and the distillery uses a traditional malting floor - a rarity in the modern whisky industry. In addition, Balvenie employs its own team of coopers who are responsible for maintaining and repairing the casks to ensure optimum quality throughout the maturation process.

The production process of Balvenie 18 Years Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask begins with the careful selection of American oak casks in which the whisky is initially matured for 18 years. Once it has developed its basic structure in these casks, the whisky is transferred to selected Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, where it undergoes a second maturation.

This double maturation technique enriches the whisky with additional layers of flavour and complexity, resulting in a product that embodies both Balvenie's heritage and an exceptionally rich and enjoyable flavour profile.
