Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

The Prosecco sparkling wine from Bottega's Il Vino dei Poeti collection is made from selected vineyards in the province of Treviso. Made exclusively from Glera grapes, they are carefully harvested by hand in mid-September and then gently vinified in white. The second fermentation takes place according to the traditional Charmat method in an autoclave at a controlled temperature of 14-15 °C, which gives the Prosecco its fresh and lively character.
