The Carúpano distillery, founded in 1762 by the Spanish captain Felix del Fierro, is one of the most traditional distilleries known for its outstanding and award-winning rum production. The rum produced by Carúpano is made exclusively from molasses and is characterised by a particularly long ageing period of 25 years in a single barrel. This careful and lengthy ageing process gives the rum an exceptional depth and complexity of flavours.
