Description
Description
The Giacosa Fratelli Barolo Scarrone Vigna Mandorlo Riserva DOCG 2013 is a powerful yet finely matured red wine from the heart of Piedmont, which impressively embodies the essence of a great Barolo with 14.5% vol. and a profound character. It comes from the traditional single vineyard Scarrone, more precisely from the Vigna Mandorlo parcel, which is known for its exceptional location and ideal microclimate. This Riserva Barolo is produced by the renowned Giacosa Fratelli family winery, which is known for its artisanal, elegant and long-lasting wines.
The Nebbiolo grape variety, which is used exclusively for this wine, expresses its full class here: powerful, structured, yet with the elegance and depth typical of the vineyard. The wine is traditionally matured in large wooden barrels, which gives the wine its fine flavour, complex aromas and stable ageing structure. The Barolo Scarrone Riserva is bottled with a high-quality natural cork, which additionally supports the ageing process. The 2013 vintage presents itself today with mature harmony and has ageing potential until around 2025, when it can fully develop its fine, tertiary flavours.
