Takamaka EXTRA NOIR Rum 43% ABV 0.7 l + gift box is a full-bodied rum from the Seychelles, produced by the renowned Trois Frères Distillery on the island of Mahé. The distillery was founded by brothers Bernard and Richard d’Offay and is located in the historic village of La Plaine St. André. As part of the high-quality St. André Premium range, this Seychelles rum stands for artisanal production, authentic style and clear provenance. This premium rum is produced from molasses, a by-product of sugar cane processing, making it stylistically a classic molasses rum rather than a rhum agricole. Distillation takes place using a combination of pot stills and column stills, combining the robust, aromatic distillates from the pot still with the lighter, more elegant components from the column still. Takamaka Extra Noir is also bottled without added sugar or chill filtration and presented in a high-quality gift box.


Takamaka Extra Noir Rum is a balanced blend of pot still and column still distillates, which mature in two different types of cask. It is aged in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak as well as in new French oak casks. This combination lends the dark rum vanilla and a pleasant sweetness from the bourbon casks, as well as spice, structure and fine tannins from the French oak. At 43% ABV, this rum from Mahé is full-bodied, spicy and versatile.
