The collaboration between the Australian distillery Starward and the Islay distillery Lagavulin has resulted in a limited edition that is exclusively available in Austria.

This Australian single malt whisky from Starward was first matured in red wine casks and then refined for 18 months in casks from the Lagavulin distillery on Islay, Scotland.

Starward is characterised by its willingness to experiment, and for this limited edition, smoky Scotch whisky casks from Lagavulin, a world-renowned distillery on Islay known for its smoky single malt Scotch whisky, were used. This special maturation in Lagavulin casks gives Starward's Australian single malt whisky a unique and characteristic flavour profile.

The combination of the tropical flavours of the red cask whisky with the rich coastal peat of the Lagavulin casks results in a rich and complex taste experience.

This collaboration emphasises the role of casks in whisky production and presents a unique fusion of flavours and traditions from two renowned distilleries.
