Its uniqueness comes from the addition of crystal malt to the mash, an innovation that gives the Teeling single malt an exceptional caramel and toffee flavour.

This distinctive whiskey is matured exclusively in American virgin oak casks, which add subtle vanilla notes and a tannic flavour.

Crystal malt, obtained by crystallising sugar in a closed system during the malting process, is common in the brewing industry but is rarely used in the distilling industry.
