In 1987, the namesake Aurelio Montes, Pedro Grander, Douglas Murray and Alfredo Vidaurre founded the Montes winery in Chile. The winery's vision is to conquer the entire world market with high-quality wines from Chile. Today, the winery cultivates around 750 hectares of vineyards and also produces its outstanding wines in Argentina and California.

The Montes Limited Selection presents a variety of individual wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Carmenère and a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère.

Particularly noteworthy is the Montes Cabernet Sauvignon Carmenère Limited Selection, a premium red wine with a seductive, voluminous and smooth character. Originally planned as a 100% Carmenère, Aurelio Montes decided after numerous trials in favour of a cuvée of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Carmenère. This blend comes from selected parcels with an outstanding microclimate and is matured in American oak. Barely filtered, the wine presents a beautiful, deep red colour and aromas of chocolate, coffee and a hint of vanilla. This Montes Cabernet Sauvignon Carmenère Limited Selection from Chile will mature until 2027 and is sealed with a natural cork.
