Big Peat is a carefully curated blend of single malt Scotch whiskies that come exclusively from the renowned whisky region of Islay. This composition combines the characteristic qualities of the island's renowned distilleries: Caol Ila contributes with its sweetness, Bowmore ensures a perfect balance, Ardbeg lends the blend its medicinal and earthy note, while Port Ellen adds an element of Elements. Together, Big Peat epitomises the quintessence of Islay in a bottle.

As part of Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts collection, Big Peat represents the essence of the Islay region in concentrated form. With a phenol content of 40 ppm, it offers an intense peat experience. The whisky is free from colouring and chill-filtration and is bottled at natural cask strength, which emphasises its authenticity and naturalness, in line with Douglas Laing's motto: "As natural as possible".
