The Kilchoman BATCH STRENGTH Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a powerful yet precisely composed bottling from the Kilchoman Distillery that reflects the intense house style of the distillery in concentrated form. This bottling matured in a multi-layered cask combination of re-charred red wine casks, Oloroso sherry butts and ex-bourbon barrels, which combined different maturation influences in a targeted manner. Once the maturation process was complete, a small amount of water was added to the whisky to deliberately adjust it to a batch strength of 57% vol. This preserves the strength of the distillate while optimising the balance and drinkability. This Islay single malt Scotch whisky was bottled without chill filtration and without colouring.


Kilchoman Batch Strength combines the distinctive Islay peat smoke and Kilchoman's typical citrusy freshness with dark fruit, spice and a salty sweetness. The re-charred wine casks add depth and structure, while Oloroso sherry casks provide richness and the bourbon casks support the clear line of the distillate.
