The Rhum J.M distillery in Macouba, Martinique, specialises in the production of Rhum Agricole and follows the strict "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée" regulations. A key feature is the freshly pressed juice from sugar cane grown on the Montagne Pelée volcano.

As part of the growing trend towards sustainability in the spirits industry, the distillery has introduced Rhum J.M Canopèe. This name, which is derived from the French word for tree canopy, "canopée", emphasises the distillery's commitment to environmental protection and the preservation of local ecosystems.

The limited edition Rhum J.M Canopee, of which only 1,000 bottles were produced, is distilled from sugar cane juice and matures for up to six years in oak barrels. The environmentally friendly production and themed bottle design make this rum an attractive gift option.
