This Yellow Rose Whiskey is named after Yellow Rose Distilling LLC, the first legal distillery in Houston. The name honours Emily West, known as The Yellow Rose of Texas, who played a crucial role in the victory that led to Texas independence in 1836.

As the name suggests, this Yellow Rose Harris County Bourbon Whiskey breaks all the traditional rules. It is made from 100% Yellow Corn, Elbon Rye and San Jacinto Malted Barley and is matured in small American oak barrels directly in Houston. The distinctive temperature fluctuations of 15-20 degrees in this part of Texas give the bourbon unique characteristics that can only be achieved here. These fluctuations allow for a more intense interaction between the whiskey and the wood, creating complex flavours and a special depth. The proportion of angels, i.e. the proportion of whiskey that evaporates each year, is 15%, making this whiskey extremely rare and valuable.

The production process utilises a traditional pot still method, which allows the whiskey to be produced in small, carefully monitored quantities. This process helps to ensure that every drop is of the highest quality and has the authentic flavour that delights connoisseurs and aficionados.
