Flor de Caña, a rum rich in tradition and family-owned since 1890, is produced sustainably. In 1875, the young adventurer Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa left his home in Genoa, Italy, and set off for Nicaragua. There, at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, the highest and most active volcano in Nicaragua, he discovered the perfect location for his distillery.

The fertile soil, the mineral-rich water and the hot climate of the volcano gave the rum its unique, mild flavour. Today, Flor de Caña is committed to sustainability and fair trade-certified spirits and is committed to a greener future.

Flor de Caña Volcanic Bourbon Cask is a premium rum that is produced in a climate-neutral and fair-trade manner. It is matured in former bourbon barrels made from American white oak at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, which gives the rum its unique flavour. Flor de Caña does not add any sweeteners at all in order to preserve the natural purity and quality of the rum.
