The story of Martell begins as early as 1700, when Jean Martell travelled to Paris to make a cognac from the best eau de vie. After his death in 1753, his wife Rachel Martell took over her late Manner's vision and successfully realised it. She ran the company so successfully that Martell Cognac quickly became famous in America and England. Today, Martell Cognac is a symbol of luxurious flavour and the highest quality.
Martell VSOP is an authentic expression of the Martell style. The house maintains an uncompromising savoir-faire by maturing its eaux-de-vie exclusively in fine-grained oak barrels. This particularity favours the development of refined aromas, which are reflected in the rich, fruity notes of Martell VSOP. Martell VSOP is a blend of eaux-de-vie, the youngest of which has been matured for at least four years.
