Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop and set decisive milestones in wine and grappa production. After the family had cultivated their own land for generations, Aldo Bottega revolutionised the production of grappa by launching the first single-varietal grappa on the market. In 1977, he founded Distilleria Bottega, which is now located in a lovingly restored 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of its own vineyards.

The area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene is considered the heart of the Prosecco region, but the term "Rive" refers to an even more precisely selected terroir of exceptional quality. Rive" refers to vineyards on often steep slopes that offer ideal conditions for grape ripening thanks to their optimal exposure.

These special locations produce grapes of outstanding quality and unmistakable typicity.

As the slopes are inaccessible for mechanical processing, the work is carried out exclusively by hand, which further emphasises the exclusivity of the harvest. Thanks to the unique combination of climate and soil conditions, these vineyards produce wines that express the terroir in an unrivalled way and delight connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
