The Weingut Emil Bauer & Söhne in Landau-Nußdorf (Palatinate) combines tradition with an innovative Zeitgeist. Run by brothers Martin and Alexander Bauer, the winery is renowned for high-quality, terroir-driven wines full of character. The grapes for this Emil Bauer Grauburgunder ‘Bullshit’ grow on loam, limestone and loess soils, which lend it its finesse and minerality. The ideal climatic conditions of the Palatinate ensure that the grapes ripen under optimal conditions and can develop their full aromatic potential.

Once fully ripe, the grapes are harvested quickly and during the cooler parts of the day to preserve the freshness of their aromas. In the winery, the grapes undergo careful selection and gentle crushing, followed by controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure fruit and freshness. After fermentation, the wine matures on the fine lees for several months, which lends it additional depth and complexity. The wine is finally bottled with a screw cap to preserve its freshness and aromas.
