Since its foundation in 1822, the Fonseca brand has stood for excellent port wine and has established itself as a synonym for exceptional quality. With more than two centuries of experience, Fonseca combines traditional winemaking skills with a spirit of innovation and a deep understanding of port winemaking. Production takes place in the renowned vineyards of the Douro Valley in Portugal, considered one of the oldest and most prestigious wine regions in the world. The unique terroir is characterised by steep slopes and mineral-rich soils, which shape the taste of the port wines.

The 20-year-old Tawny Port is an expression of the highest craftsmanship and combines elegance with a velvety-soft texture and finely balanced flavour. The cuvée is made from the classic grape varieties Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinto Cão and Tempranillo (Aragonez), which are known for their aromatic intensity and longevity.

As a vintage cuvée, this Tawny Port combines wines that have matured for at least 20 years in small 550-litre oak barrels. This long barrel ageing ensures complex aromas, a warm colour and a smooth, harmonious flavour profile.

The Fonseca Porto 20 Year Old is ready to drink immediately, but has further ageing potential of up to 4 years.
