In 1975, Gérard Bertrand began his grape harvest at Château de Villemajou in the Corbières, where he discovered his passion for wine. Over the course of twelve years, he honed his skills alongside his father Georges Bertrand until the fourth generation finally carried on the legacy. After the tragic death of his father in 1987, Gérard Bertrand took over the family management of the Domaine de Villemajou and founded the Gérard Bertrand wine company. The Gérard Bertrand Group comprises 16 wine estates and 16 châteaux along the Mediterranean coast of France, covering a total of 850 hectares. Some of the hand-picked grapes are matured in 225-litre Bordeaux barrels, while the other part is stored in stainless steel tanks.

The Côte des Roses, a tribute to the Mediterranean lifestyle, comes from the renowned Gérard Bertrand vineyard in the Languedoc region, along the Mediterranean coast to the Spanish border. The area benefits from a semi-arid Mediterranean climate, which creates ideal conditions for viticulture. The bottle design, created by a young designer from the French college École Boulle, features a bottle base in the shape of a rose blossom.

Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Rosé is made from the Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grape varieties, whose grapes thrive on hard limestone, slate and gravel soils. After careful ageing, the wine is bottled and sealed with a glass stopper to preserve its freshness and flavours as much as possible.
