Velho Barreiro Cachaça Special Edition Silver is a traditional Brazilian sugarcane spirit with an alcohol content of 39 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle. Unlike many rums, cachaça is not made from molasses but from fermented fresh sugarcane juice. Velho Barreiro originates from Brazil and is produced by a distiller whose history began in 1950 in Piracicaba, in the state of São Paulo. Despite its high production volume, the brand places great importance on maintaining a distinctive, clearly recognisable style that reflects the authentic character of Brazilian cachaça.

Velho Barreiro Silver is aged in barrels made of Jequitibá Rosa wood, which rounds out the distillate without masking its fresh sugarcane aromas. The result is a slightly sweet and fruity cachaça with notes of sugar cane and banana, which is particularly versatile for mixing. This makes this cachaça ideal for caipirinhas as well as classic batidas and other Brazilian cocktails. Caramel colouring E150d is used to ensure a consistent colour.
