The name and packaging - a black bottle with a yellow label - are intended to pay tribute to an endemic snake species in Jamaica. The rum is a blend of up to 20 different distillates from various distilleries in Jamaica. The ageing period of these distillates varies between three and eight years, with storage taking place in ex-bourbon barrels made from American white oak.
