Located on St. Thomas in the Caribbean, the A.H. Riise distillery combines more than just excellent flavour in its spirits - it captures a rich history. Founded in the 1840s by pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, during the island's time as a Danish colony, each bottle combines traditional distilling skills with its founder's passion for discovery. Riise's discoveries of new plants and herbs in the West Indies still shape the characteristic flavour of the premium rums today. A.H. Riise celebrates a heritage full of adventure with every drop.

The selection and special treatment of the barrels are crucial to the creation of the A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra Very Rare Spirit Drink. The longer charring of old barrels allows the blend to penetrate deeper into untouched layers of wood. This method, combined with carefully selected base rums, characterises the unmistakable taste of the blend. The distinctiveness is evident in every detail, from the deep dark colour to the complex aroma, which is presented in a specially designed, multi-faceted bottle.

This spirit drink has been produced according to a new recipe in which the sugar content has been reduced. This means that it is less sweet than before, allowing the natural flavours and nuances to be brought out better.

Only 3,000 bottles are produced by hand each year.
