Casa Paladin, a renowned winery in the Veneto region of Italy, is located in the DOCG-certified area of Valpolicella. The foundation of the winery dates back to the 1960s, initiated by Carlo Paladin. The winery's philosophy is to produce wines that represent the distinctive terroir of the region through a fusion of traditional methods and modern technologies. This approach involves the use of a combination of proven techniques and the latest equipment to ensure the quality and consistency of the wines.
The production of Paladin's Merlot follows a classic process. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months in steel tanks. It is then bottled, where it remains until it reaches its full flavour profile. Paladin Merlot Veneto is made from 100% Merlot grapes. The ageing in steel tanks serves to preserve the purity and integrity of the grape character before the wine is sealed with a natural cork.
