The Gérard Bertrand Cigalus IGP 2022 is a powerful, expressive red wine from the south of France that impressively embodies Gérard Bertrand's philosophy: biodynamic viticulture at the highest level, combined with character, elegance and fullness. This iconic wine from the Languedoc, more precisely from the IGP Aude Hauterive, is one of the house's flagship wines and is produced on the Domaine de Cigalus vineyard, which has been consistently cultivated biodynamically for years.

The cuvée combines international and regional grape varieties in perfect balance - typically Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Franc, Mourvèdre and Caladoc - which are all vinified individually and then masterfully blended. Maturation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in new barriques, resulting in a harmonious blend of power, density and elegant wood flavours. The 2022 vintage is particularly sun-kissed, ripe and structured, with high concentration and impressive depth of flavour.
